History Of NATIONAL CADET CORPS GHANA

THE NATIONAL CADET CORPS GHANA . N.C.C.G. is an amalgamation of Army, Navy, Air Force, Police , Prisons, and Fire Cadet in the country. The cadet corp was established in 1954, at Ghana Secondary School Takoradi. The aim of establishing the cadet corps in school is to instill discipline and loyalty among students. Currently, the corps has a numirical strenght of about thirty two thousand cadets members in all the ten regions.

Furthermore, the minister thought it wise to set up this desk to help curb down the level of indescipline in our educational institutions and to plan effectively for the cadets. Since the cadet exists in various educational institutions, it’s aim is;

1.      To sustain a vibrant and effective cadetting in an ever changing society to produce disciplined young persons

2.      To promote and among young people, a pratical interest in our various security institutions.

3.      To provide training that will be useful in both services and civilian life.

4.      To develope in such qualities and leadership positive values, loyalty, devotion to duty, self respect and civic awareness to become good citizens.

5.      To inculcate in the youth the spirit of patriotism and commitment to the nation.
