The Bank of Ghana
(BoG) has approved a license for the Ghana Armed Forces to operate a
Savings and Loan company to be called Services Integrity Savings and
Loans Company.
This means the Ghana Armed Forces now have the mandate to operate a legal financial institution.
According to a statement signed by military, accounts will be opened for all military and Ministry of Defence civilian employees of the GAF.
“The account forms have therefore been forwarded to all units. Each member of staff should therefore fill the forms accordingly,” the statement noted.
The statement also added salaries of all personnel will pass through SIS&L.
